Authors & Editorial Team

Every guide on this site is written and fact-checked by the same small editorial team. We publish under one stable byline — Valor Mortis Wiki Editorial — instead of inventing individual personas. If you need to know who is responsible for a page, it is this team, and you can reach us at [email protected].

Valor Mortis Wiki Editorial

Role: research, writing, fact-checking and corrections across all sections.

Covers: bosses, weapons, builds, progression, collectibles and the game's endings.

How we work: players who take notes while playing. We worked from the full game since its October 13, 2026 launch, on PC, and we cross-check claims against the official Steam page, Xbox Wire and Lyrical Games press releases, and the in-game menus and patch notes before publishing. For Valor Mortis we pay particular attention to the first-person combat system (parries, dashes and finishers), the lantern checkpoints, the Catalyst levelling system and the Transmutation abilities, because those are the systems players most often get wrong.

Our standard: if we have not verified something, the page says so. We would rather publish a shorter guide with a clear “unconfirmed” label than a confident one we cannot stand behind.
